Our client is a ‘startup’ indigenous pharmaceutical company located in Enugu, South-East region of Nigeria, with the vision of becoming a leading healthcare company with a world-class team driving business in Africa. It seeks an entrepreneurial and results-oriented individual who is hands-on in orientation to fill the position of Human Resources Manager.

Responsibility

The human resources manager reports directly to the chief operating officer. Deposition will ensure the implementation and delivery of human resources strategies, programs and initiatives aligned with the overall corporate goals. This includes policies and procedures, employee Labor Relations, recruitment, training, performance management and general administration.

Person Specification

  • Minimum first degree in Social Sciences or related areas from reputable tertiary institutions is required. Professional membership and certification from relevant institutions so test CIPM, SHRM,etc., is essential.
  • Minimum of eight years post-graduation experience in the manufacturing/FMCG industry of which five years must have been at a supervisory level, driving people programs and agenda preferably in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Demonstrable knowledge of human resources processes including the Nigerian Labour law Pharmaceutical industry regulations, recruitment, training, performance management and general administration.
  • Strong leadership and managerial attributes, communication, problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to deploy data analytics and IT tools and skills to deliver results.

The Accountant reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and provides technical and administrative support for the execution of the financial strategies to ensure the financial health of the company. The position has responsibility for the day-to-day finance and accounting function. This includes bookkeeping, statutory returns, budgeting, banking reconciliation, financial analysis & reporting, and any other duties assigned.

Person Specification

  • Minimum first degree in accounting from a reputable tertiary institution is required

Location: Enugu

Responsibility

The Sales Manager reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and takes charge of the day-to-day operations of the sales and marketing functions. The position has the responsibility for driving market performance focused on the achievement of set targets while ensuring customer retention. This includes strategy development and implementation, key account management, new business development, forecasting, market intelligence, product launch and management, team building and relationship management.

Person specification

  • Minimum of first degree in relevant discipline from reputable tertiary institutions is required. A master's degree, preferably an MBA, is desirable. Professional membership and certification from relevant associations such as NIMN, CIM, etc., are required.
  • Minimum of eight years postgraduation experience with a proven track record of sales and marketing experience in the manufacturing/FMCG industry and ideally from a reputable pharmaceutical company
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen with solid consulting consultative selling skills and ability to influence senior leadership in decision-making. Familiarity with the South-Eastern region and well experienced in market development, new business acquisition, partnerships, stakeholder management, team motivation and capacity building.
