Company seeks entrepreneurial and results-oriented individual who is hands-on in orientation to fill the position of Sales Manager

Our client is a ‘startup’ indigenous pharmaceutical company located in Enugu, South-East region of Nigeria, with the vision of becoming a leading healthcare company with a world-class team driving business in Africa. It seeks an entrepreneurial and results-oriented individual who is hands-on in orientation to fill the position of Sales Manager.

Location: Enugu

Responsibility

The Sales Manager reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and takes charge of the day-to-day operations of the sales and marketing functions. The position has the responsibility for driving market performance focused on the achievement of set targets while ensuring customer retention. This includes strategy development and implementation, key account management, new business development, forecasting, market intelligence, product launch and management, team building and relationship management.

Person specification

  • Minimum of first degree in relevant discipline from reputable tertiary institutions is required. A master’s degree, preferably an MBA, is desirable. Professional membership and certification from relevant associations such as NIMN, CIM, etc., are required.
  • Minimum of eight years postgraduation experience with a proven track record of sales and marketing experience in the manufacturing/FMCG industry and ideally from a reputable pharmaceutical company
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen with solid consulting consultative selling skills and ability to influence senior leadership in decision-making. Familiarity with the South-Eastern region and well experienced in market development, new business acquisition, partnerships, stakeholder management, team motivation and capacity building.
  • Creative innovation, stakeholder management and teamwork.
  • Excellent leadership communication presentation and IT skills
