Flight fares to Enugu jump to ₦400,000 ahead of the 2025 NBA Conference, with Lagos and Abuja routes fully booked. See available airlines and prices.

Airfares to Enugu have surged dramatically ahead of this weekend’s Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual Conference, with one-way tickets rising from an average of ₦120,000 to as high as ₦400,000.

Checks on Tuesday show the cheapest available ticket at ₦170,000, reflecting a steep jump as thousands of delegates head to Enugu for events running from Thursday, 21 August to Monday, 25 August 2025.

The spike is driven by overwhelming demand, with several flights fully booked on peak travel days. On the Abuja–Enugu route, Ibom Air is fully booked from Thursday through Monday, while limited earlier seats are selling around ₦171,000—almost double typical prices.

The Lagos–Enugu corridor mirrors the squeeze. As of Tuesday, no seats are available from Thursday through Sunday. Travellers booking today can only secure Wednesday (₦190,800) and Thursday (₦171,800) departures, or wait until Monday when fares ease to ₦171,800.

Travel agents attribute the surge to the influx of lawyers, corporate partners, and dignitaries heading for what is expected to be Enugu’s largest conference in years. “Airlines are responding to market forces. With demand outstripping supply, fares will stay elevated until after the event,” one ticketing operator noted.

The price spike has triggered complaints from travellers, with some considering road options. Still, the rush underscores Enugu’s growing pull as a national events hub—and the premium that major gatherings now command on popular domestic routes.
